My sender domain name for email is not verified - problem with DNS values

Context:

To verify your domain you need to add 3 CNAME entries as DNS records to your domain host. These DNS records will 'authorize' us to send automated back in stock emails on your behalf. Here's an example of how the CNAME entries typically look like on the Verify your domain screen:

CNAME Records

(Note: These are just sample entries. Do not use these for your domain setup. You need to use your own CNAME entries which you can find by going to Notifications -> Customize Email Notifications > Email Sender > From address > Verify Domain)

Problem with domain verification:

Most domain providers require you to add your domain name by default at the end of CNAME record under the Name or Hostname (as shown in the table above).

However, some domain providers such as Squarespace do not require you to add your domain name at the end of the CNAME record.

How to fix this?

Go to your domain host and open your DNS settings page. For the three CNAME records that you added, under the Name or Hostname field, edit each record and remove this part at the end of the record value .testdomain.com (This is an example. You need to remove your domain name from your actual CNAME value)

After you remove this from the end of the 3 CNAME records, save your DNS entries and go back to the Verify Domain screen. Your domain name will now be verified.

Please email us at support@peppyduck.com in case you still face any issues with DNS verification. We'll quickly help you out.
